How do you keep flies from bothering you?
Question:ive been sun tanning outside, and am constantly bothered by flies, and no, i don't smell

Flies don't bother me. Ever. No insects or bugs do. Nor spiders.
add vinegar to your food. dont know why but it works

once i was being driven crazy by flies so i sprayed hair spray on them. boom! down they go
The flies are germinating from garbage...
(Its where they "breed").
Cover all garbage cans with lids so that you dont give them a place to breed. Put all garbage in plastic bags.
Hang fly strips...(the sticky type) around where they are "breeding" or seen a lot.
This will catch a lot of them, since they dont know what it is, and are attracted to it.
Also, they make a 'fly catcher' of hard plastic, where you "bait" it, and the flies cant escape... Check the internet for that one.
Spray the containers you use for garbage with fly spray, inside and out, so that it will kill the larvae and flies. Make sure you have your neighbors keep thier cans covered and if they wont or have "junk trash cans" offer to buy them new ones! After all, its "your" peace of mind you want, and they dont care one bit, one way or another!

My mother used to take empty plastic (clear) coke bottles, fill with water, and place in a perimeter spout first buried in the ground - then she'd have them hanging in the trees - or clear plastic bags filled with clean water -- the flies see themselves and think they're the enemy and steer clear - works, try it
