Is there any way I can change the color of my wood laminate floor, without replacing it?

Question:The home I just bought has laminate wood flooring in my family room. Whoever installed it didn't pay attention to the colors of the kitchen cabinets, counter tops and wall paint. Money is tight. I do have an area rug to hide the floor, but it looks really tacky. Suggestions?

Answers:
nothing will stick, nomatter what you do. replacing IS the only answer

lightly sand it (probably not real thick) and stain or don't sand it, just paint it.
Your are stuck with it, you can not change the color of laminate floors. Go with the area rug until you can afford new flooring.
You can't sand laminate, it's not real wood! I don't think I would attemp to paint or stain it, you will ruin it for sure. I think you are stuck with it, sorry!!
