Stinky bowls?! Any suggestions?
Question:I have a set of blanc de blanc the white ceramic collection dinner bowls. They are dishwasher safe. But when I wash them in the dishwasher, the smell bad. When I wash them by hand, they don't smell. Why does the dishwasher make them smell bad?

They get too hot in the dishwasher and ceramic absorbs odor from dirty water in the wash cycle. Try washing them alone
bleach
Use white vinegar, nothing works better.
empty dishwasher, put in three cups of white vinegar wash normal cycle.
Also, check you plumbing and make sure nothing is clogging the food waste and preventing it from leaving. that will make everything stink.
Try running some CLR through it to remove calcium, lime and rust deposits. It's good for the washing machine also. Th directions are on the bottle.
