are you trimming any leaves that will be in the water? trim stems every couple of days and change the water.

cut the stems at a slant /
if you add asprine and 7 up to the water it helps.
trim the stims every day or two
don't cut them? but if you do, change the water, make sure there are no leaves submerged and cut the stems(at a 45 deg. angle) each time you swap the water(every other day). Also use a cut flower fertilizer.
tie a string around the bottom
Hang upside down until dry
Take down
Arrange and it can last years if left alone
