What can I do to keep bees away from the hummingbird feeders?

Question:Even though there are 'guards,' the bees are so thick around all four openings that it looks like a hive!
(I don't want to harm the bees)

Answers:
I'm afraid there is nothing you can do because they are after what the humming birds are after. I know they are a hassle, but I'm glad to hear that you don't want to hurt them because they are in decline right now and it's a little scary to think how many more might be lost. Just try your best to tolerate them. I'm sure the humming birds don't mind them too much. In the future you might consider planting plants that bees love like honeysuckle and bee balm. These plants may keep them away from the feeders next season.

I'm glad to hear you have bee's!
