Bonsai mangoes?
Question:Hi...i came across these real small (abt 1 to 1.5 inches) Alphonso mangoes at someone's place. They were really cute and sweet just as the big alphonsoes. Does anyone have an idea where in mumbai I can find these? It will be real help. Thanks.

Come to THAILAND.I have about 15 of them.If you know someone who has it tell them to graft a branch for you.This will take a month to get the roots out in the branch,then cut it from there and plant it.This should be done in the rainy season.Have you seen the size of its leave:it is about 15 inches in length and smells very good.You can even make vegetable from the leave of an Alphonsoes mango.This species is the best and most expensive mango in the world.
I actually found them in a Chinese Supermarket in Toronto, Canada.
But the season is now coming to a close, usually you only get them in May.
I think a farm in India called Patwardhan Ambewale, Ratnagiri grows them.
