Is it safe to straighten fallen corn stalks?

Question:We were hit by a terrible storm with high winds and heavy rain
which caused my corn stalks to lean/fall. Is it safe to try to stand them up again? Or should I just wait and see if they straighten themselves out?

Answers:
Hi, I had to straighten and stake mine back up. I didn't want to take a chance of losing my beautiful corn. Especially since I grew it in a wooden box! They turned out fine. Bye

Yes, its fine.

They may not stand completely straight on their own, but get them out of the mud at least.

(I am assuming you are talking about a small garden of sweet corn and not trying to stand up a big field of feed corn.)
Yup Its Alright!
call it a crop circle and charge idiots £2 a pop to sit in it works fine for every one else who does it. claim you had a second head and since it's happened it's gone. you would have had photographic proof but you other head was camera shy ask anyone who's in on the scam to prove it. before you know it you will be charging news crews £50 a pop to park for an hour and £1000 a minuet for interviews.
Certainly...but be gentle. You will need to tamp the roots with your foot so they won't fall over again.
In other words, make sure that the roots are secure and covered with soil.

Good Luck ! They will not straighten themselves back up.trust me !!
