Get rid of gnats in an apartment?
Question:I have a problem in the summer time with gnats in my apartment. When I'm here gnats are constantly around. If I leave for the week-end when I come back there are about 20 knats in the sink or anywhere I have standing water ( glass of water; sink )

This works and it is cheap.put 2 ounces of cider vinegar in a juice glass or baby food jar, add two to three drops of liquid dishwashing soap and leave it set by the sink for several days, then look thru the bottom of the glass, you will be suprised how many are in the bottom of the glass.this time of year I usually set several jars of t his mixture out...good luck, think you will be pleased with the results...
when you see them, spray the air with water from a spray bottle(use the 409 kind, not the perfume kind). if it doesnt kill em on contact from the water force, it annoys them so bad they fly outside.
Venus Flytraps, if you don't know, they are plants, and they eat bugs, this way you are helping to feed the plant population and taking care of your pest problems,and if you care, it is a good humane thing to do cause it is a natural prey/predator thing, Walmart sells them pretty cheap! ^_^!! I also had this problem when I lived in an apartment. I had it every spring thru fall, & all I could do was pour bleach down the drains at night before going to bed. It helped but never really got rid of them. They were in the water drains of the building. It helped some to to have the apt spray for bugs and wash the dish rags more often. Never had it before or since living in the apt. Good luck!
