Buy a cat trap and trap them and take them to the nearest animal shelter. The traps won't hurt them.
Your landlord should take care of this problem, if not call Animal Control yourself

Check with your city's animal control or your local ASPCA. Usually one or the other will have live traps that can be used to capture the cats without harming them.
Call animal control, they will come round and trap them and take them away.
Give them away. If no one wants them give them to RSPCA or any animal shelter, tell them you can not have cats in your place. If you want them to go naturally, don't feed them. They will go to other houses looking for food.
Maybe you can buy or build a cage to trap them. Put some tuna fish in there and they will come to it.
Get a trap. Where I live you can borrow or rent the from the humane society. Bait the trap with some food, when the go in the door shuts. Bring them to the pound at your city.
Stray Cats? before you kill them would you ask them to autograph my Stray Cats album, i thought that guitarist guy with stray cats died already anyway, does it smell like something dead under your house too?
Feed them and love them and make them your own.
Put a radio on a talk station under the house and leave it on. It drives them crazy and they move out. Works with skunks and possums too.
As Bob Barker always says" please remember to get your pet spayed or neutered." This is sad how many homeless animals are out there.
I had a problem with the neighbor's animals using our yard as a bathroom. After some research into safe ways to repel them, I found that red pepper is a good deterant. Sprinkle it in the area you want them to stay out of. They have a very strong sense of smell so they won't like it. They will also learn after walking through it and licking their paws they do not want to be there. I know it sounds a little harsh but will not hurt them. They will leave. If this is an area that gets wet you may need to reapply the red pepper after rain, etc. Have you talked to your landlord about the problem?
try throwing some moth balls under there. The smell ought to make them go away.
You better call the humane society! Do something positive. I already took in 3 strays, actually they weren't strays they were unwanted. I hate people that could treat their pets like that!! It is not fair!! They rely on us to give them good homes, and then so many people abuse them!! I wish I was there and that I could take them in myself!! That really ticks me off!! Anyway, back to your question, I would phone around and try to find a no-kill society that would take them. The one here in this city , is full, they have 500 cats there. That makes me mad too, but at least the ones that are there are safe, and looked after. They pick up 9,000 cats every year here. It is disgusting. And it is the irresponsible owners, not the cats!! I have 4 babies and they are all fixed. I love them. Some people should never have any pets, or better yet, they shouldn't be allowed to have any!! Sorry, I had to vent a little. I love all my pets!! Don't kill them, it's not their fault their owners are so irresponsible!! They deserve to live the same as you and me!! How many are there?? Maybe you could find it in yourself to take in one or two??
Distribute Moth balls under the house!
