I hate stepping on bugs too. 'll do you one better. Don't know where you live, but I live in a Northwest Suburb of Chicago and am just beginning to experience the emergence of the 17 year locust (cicada). When I returned home this afternoon from shopping, there were about 25 on my front porch. They are very big and leave the skeletons behind when they emerge. If you step on them which I couldn't avoid doing, you can actually hear the crunching sound. So gross. We will these bugs around for about 4-6 weeks. Soon they will be covering the ground and be everywhere where there are trees. They are very interesting bugs. But, I'm glad we only get them every 17 years. You should look up on the internet for more specific details of the cicadas, particularly the noise level they reach with the mating calls. Sure hope I don't dream about them tonight.
I HATE IT! My little sister does it for me. lol
omg i know. i can soooo relate. i usually just leave the room and tell someone else to kill it.
LOL I hate stepping on bugs, too. Not for exactly the same reason, though. This sounds incredibly stupid, but it would make me feel bad if I step on a bug. I am not a vegetarian or anything like that, but unless a bug is in my house and there is no way for me to carry it outside safely, I will not kill it. I think it is bad karma or something like that to kill bugs. Like if I do something bad will happen to me later on. I know it sounds dumb.
I wear shoes and step all over them even outside. I can not stand flies and now I have bird feeders all over my yard to help with the fly problem and it seems to be working, I am not a bug person so I really don't want them in my house or around it.
You think that's bad, step on a Jerusalem Cricket,EEEEEUUUUOOOOOWWWW!
I'm with you! I cannot stand that crunch noise/feel! I am also a user of spray killers! I always see someone grab a tissue for a spider. I can't do that ... it will crunch in my fingers .nope, can't do that.
