How can I move a refrigerator, can I lay it flat on the side?

Question:Moving from place to place...moving refrigerator...

Answers:
you can but once you get it where its going it will have to sit for 24hrs before you plug it back in so the refrigerant can spread evenly...

No, you should keep it upright, because of lines that have moisture in them.
no, your not suppose to lay them down. You'll have to ask for help. Someone with a truck and dolly.Bye
Yes you can lay it down. Keeping them upright is a myth. But you do need to let it sit for about 24 hours before turning it on. This allows any refrigerant oil that leaked into the lines to seep back into the compressor where it belongs.
If you lay it down, it will never work the same. Rent a trailer, it has a low bed and most have ramps.
Get a dolly .It makes the job an easy one.safer too...if you lay it down let it set upright for a day so the freon and oil settle.
look at the compressor the freon lines go in on one side lay it on the side so the lines point up, if you lay it the other ways oil will leak into the lines, and thats not good for it.
