Mice repellents?

Question:We going to be building a new house so most of our stuff will be in storage in an outdooe shed for a couple months. There have been mice in this shed before but none at the moment (probably b/c it is starting summer). Does anyone know of anything that I could do to keep them from returning later while or stuff is in there. I read an article that they don't like mint and that you could plant mint, has anyone ever heard of this? does it work? Thanks

I live in the country and we have a rodent problem even with 2 cats..I have used peppermint oil soaked into cotton balls with great success! I buy the peppermint oil in the spice section of my grocery store, pour it on cotton balls and scatter them throughout my basement and attic. No poison at all and no rodents any longer. The only side effect is a really minty smelling area and I like that more than any chemical smells. I do not have to fear my animals eating a poisoned animal, or my children getting near a sick animal. My sisters and Mom also use this method and I can say it works for us. It is also a lot less expensive than poison! Good Luck!

Try moth balls,it works on squires ,which are related to mice.
