What is the square feet of my fence?

Question:My fence is 6 feet high and about 260 feet all the way around. 31 sections of 8 feet long, 6 ft high fence. I need to tell painting contractors and I am not sure what to say the sq footage is.

Answers:
To figure take 6' x 260==1560 Sq ft., for one side or coat. Multiply the total sq ft for each coat on each side. But I would just figure 1600 sq ft just to make sure and allows for some waste. Good luck.

Glenn provided yu with an good answer, however do not forget to figure the fence posts in. Assuming they are 4 x 4 x 6' above ground, count the posts and add 1.3 sq ft per post.
Have fun.
