How to undampen your basement?

Question:how can i make my basement room less damp so centipedes wont come in anymore?

Answers:
Check the outside of your house. Make sure that the ground slopes AWAY from the house. That is why water comes in and after many years it will crack your foundation and ruin your house (wet basement/dampness etc.) and you have to excavate and fix that or your foundation will crumble and your house be worthless.

So fix the outdoors. Spray along the perimeter of your house (cracks)...fill it in with pebbles if there are gaps between any cement and wall of the house. Patch any holes/cracks on your walls where bugs might come in. Don't keep plants near the walls of your house. All those little things may help a bit.

I think it's just the soil sometimes. Clay soil has a lot more bugs than sandier soil.

use a dehumidifier
a dehumidifer or there are things at wal-mart that look like little air fresheners and they absorb moisture..they are suggested for laundry rooms and damp basements
