How do I place my hot tub?

Question:Right now I have grass in my backyard where I want my hot tub to be. It's mostly level but not completely. How should I get it completely level, and have a buffer between the dirt/grass and my hot tub?

Answers:
All manufacturers will recommend that you place your hot tub on a "hot tub pad". This is concrete poured in place, thicker than you would use for a walkway, and reinforced.
Even if you level the ground where you're planning on putting your hot tub, you'll have problems. Aside from the weight of the hot tub, the water weight is HUGE. A 400 gallon tub will have over 1 & 1/2 TONS of water.
