How to draw people to yard sale?

Question:the small town i live in is having a big event and i want to have a big yard sale, how do i draw them to me.

Answers:
1st, make sure if you need a license for the sale, some towns make you pay a couple of dollars for the permit. call your city hall.
2nd, have it printed up in the paper.
3rd, make large "very legible" "large printged" signs and post them at leat 1 week to 3 days before the sale. Start outward in a circular area and then guide them in with arrows and such.
4. a couple of balloons and a large sign stating your sale is here will help.

Advertise in your local paper, signs posted at grocery stores and telephone poles
Advertise!in the paper, pay some kids to place posters on places of interest.
Have donuts and free coffee for the buyers, they Love to feel special! (they only get the treats if they buy)
Instead of calling it a yard sale, try Estate Sale...sure it might be an "estate"...but it adds a little class...Good luck!
good signs and an ad in the local paper
Large, colorful poster boards with very large writing that can be seen from a passerby in a car with clear, legible writing is a nessecity for the success of a yard sale. Balloons or anything that attracts attention is an added bonus.
Advertising in local papers and thrifty ads with clear details on address, time, and date plus including some of the things that will be on sale are sure to get you customers.
Make sure that you have things set out on a table or hung up. Don't just leave every thing on the ground. Big readable signs.
