We lived in a huge old house on a farm in SA. Had 4 bedrooms, huge lounge, dining-room, huge old ball and claw bath with a geyser just above it for hotwater and a toilet and very large kitchen. We had loads of plants all over the house, specially ferns in brass pots, really old-fashioned, kitchen full of knick-knacks and empty cake-tins with lovely pictures on above the cupboards, check curtains and a huge old stove.
The bedrooms were different colour curtains which matched the bedding and everything was spotlessly clean. We also had a very large veranda surrounding the house with hundreds of plants on it, cane-chairs and a leopard skin by the front door.
Not posh but neat and tidy.

No, it's had six grands worth of upvc double glazing.
I lived in many homes growing up we had a summer home, vacation home. A house in Europe but the main house was 3 stories with 6 bedrooms 8 baths. I dont know if its the same I now live 2600 miles away from it. Last time I saw it was about 27 yrs ago and it looked the same from the outside minus a few trees.
My mum had psychadelic, brown and orange wall paper, they thought it was a good idea to paint the bathroom dark purple. Then alas my dad was introduced to artex, the whole of the house was artexed then they painted by bedroom in orange and pink.

Luckily the house is lovely now, they still live there.
I bet it doesn't look the same. I sold it and have never seen it again. I often wonder what the new owners have done to it.
3 bed terrace ,
One cold tap i.e. NO HOT.No bathroom outside toilet
Mum, Dad 9 kids all squashed.
Someone had the sense to knock it down !
a little 3 bed council house...not just a house - but a home. dont live there now..but its still there - i sometimes drive past & it brings back happy memories!
I grew up in a fairly small 3 bedroom house built on a slope, with a long front garden and wide back garden. It ovelooked miles of fields and woodlands. I haven't seen it for years but believe that the people who bought it have extended it extensively and sadly, it now looks out on a motorway.
we had attic done
and windows
apart from that its still the same, mess everywhere..
no1 cleans up unless moaned at!!
Still the same a three storey terrace house with no garden. My parents left it about 35 years ago because they heard all the houses were going to be demolished to extend the local hospital.
Yes its still the same- and it was recently on sale so I got the details fromt erh estate agent and now I have a great photo of it.
My parents have lived in the same house for 43 years. I grew up in that house and it hasn't changed much since I left 21 years ago! Just an ordinary 1960s semi.
