Are there any advantages to building a home out of cinder blocks/concrete blocks?
Question:Big business like Walmart and others use concrete blocks. I wonder if it would be cost effective, and aesthetically pleasing for a home?

Yes, structural strength, and relatively cheap. Aesthetics is in the eye of the beholder. I would pass. Good old red brick is stronger, better looking, and has a better re-sale in my area. Do some research in your area and make the best decision for your area. Good luck!!
