Cloth cords on appliances? Historians welcome.?

Question:I was wondering what time period was it that cloth cords were common on household appliances. For instance, washing machines. What Time Period was that? If you are a historian, or you have knowledge about antiques, please give me your email, or email me. I need to talk about the time period of an old washing machine I have, and how much it might be worth.

Answers:
I assume your asking about cloth or woven insulated electrical cords. if so they were common up until the mid 1940s/

cloth style wire insulation, goes way back to the late 1800's
I know that I already answered your last question about this machine, but I was searching and found this website. I don't know if yours is a Maytag, but this site might give you some more info.
