It is usually either cotton or synthetic. Sometimes landscaping cloth is used.

Looks like landscape fabric . Possibly a thinner version , used for furniture . Landscape Fabric should work , if the right type . Having a concussion-moment , so can't think of the particular brand ( despite installing enough of it to cover Rhode Island )
