My neighbours have built a very highdecking area which enables them to look directly into our garden & house?

Question:They have only just moved in and have always lived in a flat without garden. They seem very nice people!

Answers:
I don't think they would spend the money involved in building the deck just to look at you. They are most likely just enjoying the outdoors.
Close you drapes and don't sunbath naked.

Build a higher one and look down on them!
srry but who cares if they into your garden??!! but for your house get curtains
i'm sure your neighbours are very nice people, but invasion of privacy is something some people find intollerable, can't you just have a quiete word with them regarding this?
Sounds like you don't want a confrontation, so try net curtains for the house. As regards the garden ,if you catch them peering into your property, smile sweetly and wave to them.
plant trees or build a higher privacy panel
normal people start from the bottom up accordingly, they could be asking for a big break down to get money from it is what some folks are doing. there after more money, not anything to do with yore place i recon. all you said may be just a mind kind of thing, no harm for eighter of you, tho the harm may be on them, not you, so just look at the matter you get the last laugh, right'' don't torture your mind like you said. just wait fer the laugh.''
you'll probably find that you dont have 'right to light' - however, i would just be happy that i had nice neighbours next to me..that counts for a lot - you'll get used to the decking in time.
Very nice and extremely tall peoplel! Our neighbours have sited a kid's trampoline right at the bottom of their garden and all we can see is kid's heads jumping up and down, so annoying. Put a a high fence or heighten the fence you have already got to obscure their view.
Most people do not realise that decking requires planning permission as you are altering the levels of your property! If this is causing you a problem you could try the planning office and they would make them rectify it so that is does not infringe on your privacy. If this is too drastic for you, become a naturist, that should deter them from peering into your garden. If neither of these ideas appeal then plant fast growing trees to hide it.
did they get planning permission?apparently you need this for decking?you could speak to them and tell them you are concerned, and com to some agreement be the nice approach but firm tell them how you feel, maybe they could screen the decking area off and give you some privacy good luck.
sit tight and they will invite you to the barbie next weekend, or you could try building a high wall if someone being able to look into your garden is going to upset you..
Erect a boundary fence that you can move to enable you to retain your privacy. It can be made of canvas or tarpaulin on a wooden support.

My neighbour has a couple of west highland terriers that bark constantly when I or my cat are in the garden.
I erected a temporary fence now silence is golden.
