Has anybody ditched bt and signed up with talk talk, it sounds good but dont want to change and be mugged off?

Yes I did and after about 18 months went back to bt as the service went downhill and prices seem to keep creeping up
Son did then discovered the pitfalls. Took him several attempts to stop the contract and to stop the direct debit. Look at altenatives before you sign!
The phone works fine, but the internet might be slow to get to you.
As for the service, TalkTalk service centre is in India with no connection to Level 2 support or management at all to confirm anything for you.
If you like your Internet connection and want to test your patience, go Talk Talk. They also forget to mention that you have limited downloads and evenings are dead slow when everybody is on-line.

I've got BT & UK Online for my broadband (£10 if your in the right area + good service - even have helpful techsupp - in UK!). However, I signed my parents up for Talk Talk. It's an appauling service. Connection problems for hours on end & on a regular basis, slow speeds, non existant customer service, + 'there is a fault on the line' message on almost a regular bais!
AVOID!
Don't do it! Talk talk are the worst, followed by Tiscali and Orange. Stick with BT - they are the best I know of
