When people put in granite , marble and etc in there homes floors and or etc do they through away the ?
Question:Do they through away the peices that rae cut oof too make the marabe and granit and etc fit ยก?
If they do why dont they just make a floor like a tapestrey or something like that out of the little pieces , and sell that as floors and or whatever they use it for ?

Many of the professional installers will keep the pieces and use them for other purposes. Such as shelves in showers, hot pads for the kitchen, or even small jobs like you mentioned.
At the cost of these materials only the smallest pieces should be thrown away (my opinion). There is always a use for them. You already listed some good ideas also the ones I mentioned earlier. If a person is creative. you can find many uses for these pieces.
Hint: If a person has a piece of marble or granite and wants to use it but the edges are not polished, no need to have them professionally done. First try sanding the edges with a sander with fine sandpaper - marble will usually sand easier than granite. You won't get the edges perfect, you are just trying to make them look relatively smooth. Then clean a the dust and any other residue off the piece - if using water allow to dry completely. Then use some automotive clear-coat paint (can use rattle-can) to spray the entire piece.
Apply several thin coats to get maximum shine. When finished, the piece will look almost as if it were machine polished at a fraction of the cost.
We have put in marble floors. The odd pieces are put to use in floor edges sometimes. Making a floor design of marble pieces is labor intensive as you need a diamond tip saw blade to cut them, and small pieces are difficult and time consuming to fit into a design. Precut designs are already available for marble floors. Leftover and odd sized pieces can be used for very small projects, but the weight of the marble, cement and grout has to be considered.
