Definitely use large plastic or cloth bins to put your stuff in and then label each bin accordingly. You can get these bins at target, ikea, bed bath and beyond, and the container store. To save room, you can put these bins under your bed (if there's enough space). You can also stack them in your closet. You can also color code your bins (i.e. purple= clothing, yellow=shoes etc.) That way you can add some color and design to your bedroom while you organize. Hope this helps! :)
You can get large bins and label them. But you can get cuite ones in differnt colors. Or be create and make it a summer project to decorate them your self!
If you have spare dresser drawers, you can use them to hold things other than clothes. Also, Ikea has some great storage containers that are cute. There are also boxes that you can purchase from Target, etc that slide under the bed.
