What's the RIGHT way to use an oil burner kit??

Question:one person says that you put water in the basin and let the oil float on top whit the candle underneath..but the other says that you just put the oil straight into the basin..what's the right way to do it??

thanks! ♥ Katie

Answers:
u should just put oil in there. i dont see what the harm would b in putting oil on top, as long as it really does go to the top n isnt heavier than the water...maybe do it both ways n see wha way u like best, and that will b the right way :)

Put the water in, then the oil. The water keeps basin from heating up and melting.
Be careful, fire burns something fierce from what I hear.
