How do I get rid of little brown ants?

Question:We have that gray, brown & white carpetting so it's hard to tell where they are & you cant just kill them... I think it's called barber carpet or something along those lines? What would be the best teq. to get rid of them in this type of carpet? Im really, REALLY grossed out. :-/

Answers:
first you can spray along the edges of the walls and floor and in the corners with ant spray. most of it is safe to use around children and animals after it dries. then i would wait and see if they go away. also spray anywhere where they can enter your house. you also might want to get some ant traps and put them around. if all else fails call the orkin man

Try 'Raid' ant killer. place it around the room, keep the animals away for a day or two. The ants will take the poison to the queen, she will eat it and Poof! the whole colony will eventually die.
White grits will get rid of them. It may kinna suck to put them in the carpet, but they get rid of fire ants outside so they should get rid of them inside as well i think. They eat the grits and explode, kinna like how birds explode if u throw rice at weddings. just make sure u have a good carpet clenaing afterwards.
spray raid. you know the ant/ bug killer. or hire an exterminator
