How can I find out what is mysteriously killing house flies in my basement office?

Question:We just bought a house, and I've noticed that in my new office, flies, bees, and ants are dying for some mysterious reason. Sometimes before my eyes within an hour of entering the room. I took one partially paralyzed, dying house fly outside, and amazingly, he seemed to come back to life, and eventually flew away. Everyone I tell about this says that I should call someone to check this out. My question is, who do I call? I don't know anyone who specializes in mysterious insect deaths. Everyone mentions Radon, but as far as I know Radon causes cancer of the long term, it doesn't kill insects on contact.

Answers:
it is a geecko

but we also worship fies

carbon monoxide
Someone spray some insecticide in there, no big mystery.
Maybe the house was spayed before you moved in & it's still working at killing insects.
well I would definitely have it checked out.. sounds harmful!

I thought maybe it was sprayed too... but that is some powerful pesticide if so. I would have it checked... maybe call an exterminator and see if they have suggestions. Or... call your inspector to see if they can tell you who to call. You can buy something to test your home for carbon monoxide I think at Home Depot.
the cold air slows them down, just like before it rains
