How the heck do we get a dang cricket out of the house?

Question:Driving me nuts!!! I see him and then he is quick. Then he is starting to chirp like he has lost his mind. I know chirping crickets are suppose to be soothing. But this one is anything but. I want him O-U-T!! How can I get him out. How long do they live?

Answers:
Find out how he got in in the first place so he can't call a bunch of friends over. Then try and get him cornered in a tight impossible to get out of corner and have a large, shallow (preferably clear) plastic container ready to drop on him (not bottom side down thank you). Once you have him under the container trapped get a piece of poster cardboard and slide it under until he's on it then gently lift the cardboard and slide a thicker less bendable piece under and carry the whole thing out side far from the house and let him go.

ask him to leave? :3

"...Purchasing large numbers of mature crickets is not recommended unless you can use them in 3-4 weeks - their average life span. "
I dno how long they live, but what evr u do, don't call pest control. Just leave him alone. He's not hurting anyone. Try to catch him, just don't hurt him. He never did anything to you. He's just lonley.
I have a cat and when ever there is a cricket in the house the cat goes after it and plays with it. It doesn't take long before it's dead.
try to find a commercial spray
the active constituent would need to be an organophosphorus or a carbamate based chemical
