How am I ever going to Rent a place with an eviction?

Question:4 years ago I got evicted from my apartment and now have 2 children and need to find a place fast?

Answers:
Apply to rent where there is no credit check.

When they ask if you've been evicted, DON"T LIE!! Explain the circumstances, and how they've changed. Hopefully you've spent the last 4 years with a good rental history.

Offer a large deposit, (say you'll pay one month ahead, all the time).

Above all, be honest. If they catch you in a lie, you're done.

i don't know.
So where did you stay during those 4 years? i would just look some people will let you rent with only a reference check and if push comes to shove you can always explain it to them
Tell your potential new landlord that you just didn't like it there. You don't have to tell them about the eviction. I have been evicted a few times myself and always found a place. Do you have any neighbors you can use for a reference? How about friend or associates?
Trust me, you'll be fine. Things happen for a reason. best of luck to you!
will you can but it all about the persn you go to for it because some time they will check your back grand just to see if the places was in good shape and if you can pay your rent on time but most people dont do that the places you can go is down south or come to hagerstown maryland and you can finds places that like at 250-950 but some time less then that .
Where have you lived since the eviction? If you've been renting a place since, then you've re-established your rental credit.

If you haven't re-established your rental credit, then it comes down to why you were evicted. Was it because you failed to pay your rent? If so, how is now going to be different - are you looking for an apartment with lower rent or is your income higher now? Were you a bad tenant? When you apply for a place, be up front and very open about what happened and tell them why it won't be an issue in the future.

Unlike buying a car or applying for a credit card, there are laws about what can and can't be held against you when it comes to finding housing.

I would imagine that as long as you apply for a place within your income and are open about your past you probably won't have much problem. If the reason for the eviction had to do with your ability to pay rent, see if you can line up a co-signer if required.
First off have you sought Rental / Housing Assistance in your area? Secondly were you recently evicted? You mentioned that you "NEED TO FIND A PLACE FAST".

Perhaps you can find housing in a shelter for your children and your-self for a while ... they are usually able to assist you with seeking housing and assistance where needed.

Blessings you and yours!
