Where to free the worms?

Question:I bought new peas, shelled, to make a soup. When I put them
into the water, worms started surfacing, a lot of worms. People say that I have to release the worms, as they are illegally in my peas.
Where should I free them? Onto my neighbours cozy pea-bed?

Answers:
Should have left them in the soup.

eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeee that sounds so gross.Goto the health department and report the store that sold you them peas
Don't release them . They might not be native to your area, & could in fact end up being a serious pest, if they live . Report it to the state agriculture* dept . They would probably have more interest than the local health dept.

In NY State , it's the Dept. of Agriculture & Markets. They are responsible for inspecting plants and crops , & monitoring pests .
