Getting rid of massive spiders- please help!!?
Question:So I have what I am assuming a wolf spider here. It's about 2.5 inches in diameter, scary and very very fast. I am intensely and irrationally arachnaphoic, and I am freaking out. I'm not totally against killing it but I don't want to, because it hasn't done anything but exist and walk on my shoulder (which is offensive but it didn't know that). I think if I go near it I might have a heart attack. This is really freaking me out. Any suggestions of things I could do it shoo it away? Does hairspray actually work-- this one seems too big to be hurt by something like that. AGGGGHHH, help!

I don't like to kill spiders, even though they scare me to death. What I do (well, let me rephrase that, what I get my sons to do) is put a cup over it. For a spider that big I suggest a coffee mug. Then when you are brave enough slide a strong piece of cardboard under the cup (nothing to bendable but not too thick or it will lift the cup to high and the spider will escape). Then carefully pick the whole thing up and take it outside. Tip the mug over and run!
My personal favorite is to give it the old shoe. Problem solved.

I would chase it with a broom.
get a cat. mine eats all kinds of bugs
I suck them up with a vaccuum hose. Sometimes I use clorox spray and spray them until they die (if they aren't on carpet). Ewwwww, good luck!
Get professional help with an exterminator and a psychologist.
Spiders are creepy. Get a broom and hit it. Or a big paper towel, wrap it up and throw it in the toilet.
