Can something that is solar powered get wet?

Question:I was given a cute little outdoor frog ornament that says welcome and it lights up at night; it is solar powered and I was told that it couldn't get wet...true? thanks

Answers:
Assuming it's designed for outside, it really shouldn't have any problem getting wet, metal or not. It's not to be submerged or heavily splashed, but you shouldn't have to take a frog in out of the rain :)

It's a lawn ordament then yes as long as it's not metal if it's metal then dont let it get wet cuz it will destroy it!!

hope this help's!
Sure it can get wet as long as it's designed for the outside. I wouldn't throw it in a bucket of water any time soon. We have a lot of solar powered lawn ornaments and they even stay out all winter long.
i have no problems with solar lights, they get rained on all the time still work. it's possible but i doubt it, keep it on porch if afraid it might ruin it?
