oh, i feel so bad for you. You need to call a pest control person and they will take care of it. make sure to not leave ANY food out at ALL. These suckers can crawl up anything and get anywhere. They are SMART too. set some traps. Are the droppings large? I thought I had a mouse till I researched rat & mouse poop online and yup. I had a RAT. NASTY!
This is what someone told me to do:
Set up a trap with nothing on it. Don't SET the trap, just set it OUT with bait on it (peanut butter). He will come eat it and know the trap wont hurt him. The next night do this again but set the trap. he will be GONE.
The guy that came from the pest control place told me about how smart these guys are and how they eat through walls and everything and I was so grossed out I didn't care what it cost I wanted him OUT. When they set the trap it was caught the next day.
Also, they need to seal up any areas where they could be coming in from. A rat is less then 1/4" of space. Mouse is about 1/16" so they will inspect it. Put those steel wool pad things in any holes you can find they HATE that!

u can start by getting a few mouse traps. but make sure no one gets in there! oh yeah!
or u can get a cat, a cat that catches mice! like, usually stray cats r the ones who are talented hunters!
more importantly, find out where did the mouse/mice come from, then, just put a mouse trap right in front of the entrance!

1) U can buy humane traps (u use some cheese or crackers and peanut butter on the trap and u get to torture the thing once it's caught).
2) Get some sticky mouse trap pads, and put some bait in the middle of it, then u get to see how badly the mouse will get itself completely glued to the pad just for a piece of grumb.
3) Get those mouse traps (like the ones u see in "Tom & Jerry" cartoons, and just tie the bait up to where it's supposed to be (because mice are smart, and most times they end up running away with the food, if u tie the darn thing down...they try to take it and run, but too late to notice it's tied down).
4) Get mouse poisoning, but be warned if u have young children or pets in the house, u shouldn't use this because it may harm or kill them.
5) All the above, except rat poisoning.
By the way, I think the best bait to use is cheese, peanut butter, or dried shrimp (basically something with a really strong aroma, so they can smell food from a distance).
I hope all this helps. My sister gave her kids pet mice before, and magically they got out of their cages and I went around catching all 3 of them.
Peppermint Oil. Just put some of the oil on a cotton ball & put the balls wherever the mice are in your house. I've put them in my pantry & kitchen drawers & its gotten rid of them. They don't like the smell so they don't even come in & at least you don't have to deal with dead mice! Much easier & theres no cruelty in the looong drawn out death.plus your house smells nice!
glue traps are the best.If you poison them ,you'll have major problems looking for them after they die.
