Do you feel the need to keep up with your neighbours?

Question:if they cut the lawn do you rush out to do it?
if they paint there house, get a new car, get a new pet,etc do you feel the need to do the same

or are your neighbours on your street always copying you?

Answers:
No.
This is my first home, so I appreciate watching my neighbors and seeing how they do stuff. It gives me ideas of what to do and what not to do. The neighbor next door has a beautiful garden and spends many hours on it. So if she gets a new plant or flower I like I learn from her. I have also learned patience and that someone may have a better yard, car, etc..but sometimes it comes at the price of your family. I would rather have a less perfect yard and a crappy car, so I have more time for my family. A lot of my neighbors go the other way, and they don't seem as happy as me.
I get a lot of joy when I plant a tree or flower and it actually grows and thrives! For me...not the neighbors.

No, I live my life and they live theirs. I do appreciate it when their homes are well kept because it's pleasing to look at and it encourages me to do the same for their sake.
I don't have time to pay attention to what my neighbors are doing. Keeping up with the Joneses will break your a**.
I do not really feel the need to impress my neighbors or anyone else if I'm happy that is what really counts.
no, each people has their own responsibility and there is no rush because it aint a tv show either.

live your own your life you have too much on the plate to worry about someone else's.
Seeing as I live in an apartment and my neighbor is on about the same pitiful wage as I am I have to say no. We could always compete to see who has the nicest CD player that we retrieved from a skip but I think that the challenge would be pointless.

Even my computer is 10 years old and a present from a friend who was going to throw it away. Hooray for friends!
No, they feel a need to keep up with me.
Nope never wanted to do what the neighbors do. Trying to keep up with someone is not good at all. Maybe they can afford to do somethings others can't. Happy with the way things are with me. My parents taught me to be happy with what you have and don't worry about what someone have.
No, I don't even have neighbors.
No,I do things to please myself, I plant flowers that I like to see and take care of.I look at my neighbors, some of them have nice flowers,I enjoy theirs too..I would say,get a new car when and if you need one,and mow your lawn when it needs it,...don't try to keep up with your neighbors, enjoy them.
No, but i do make sure my home and yard looks clean and in good repair.
Idk, if they are copying me, or if they just also want new cars, nice yard and such.
Only get a pet if thats what YOU really want, and please do not go into debt to keep up!
:)
No, we always do what we need to live a good life. My grandparents do copy other people like when we got a van, they got one. Their nieghbors got a metal car port and they got one. We got a bird and they got some. It has always bugged my dad that they can't keep in their own business, so we always just mind our business. You will be much happier that way! :)
