Phalaenopsis orchid?

Question:I have an orchid that I got for my wedding last June. It flowered then for around one month. After that time, one stem had 6 buds (on three branches) and one stem had no buds. I trimmed the branches with no buds back to the next indent/eye thing (don't know what technical name is). After 9 months of watering it and having fed it with orchid feed twice it has done nothing. What should I do? Did I trim it enough. Should I cut off the buds that have been there since last year?
Cheers!

Answers:
When the last flower drops, cut your flower spike halfway down the stem, Continue caring for it and wait for a possible rebloom. Feed it with a high-nitrogen fertilizer. 1 teaspoon per gallon of water should be enough. Feed it once a month. Do not over do it.

A friend that gave me one said that when all the blooms come off that he will put his in his bathroom for the winter to keep it in a moist environment. I would also put some Miracle Grow or other products to help it stay healthy.
