Where can i recycle commercial cardboard?

Question:i own a gift shop and discard 100s of cardboard boxes,
i have phoned the local council and they said because it is commercial it has to go in to land fill. this seems crazy, any one have any solutions?

offer it free to collect on freecycle people will have hundreds of uses for it especially the allotment holders as they use a lot for laying over the mud etc

Have you tried contacting a company who specialise in commercial waste, like Biffa or Grundon, I would imagine with environmental legislation they will recycle. Or perhaps one of the paper companies that recycle card, try Kappa SSK, Severnside Waste, Smurfitt.
