Is it okay to wash your car in your garage in Florida?

Question:We just moved into our first home and so our garage isn't filled with boxes and stuff yet. I didn't want to wash my car in the hot sun so I just poured water over it with a bucket, we don't have a hose yet, in the garage and washed it. Then my husband yells at me and says I'm retarded because it could cause mold and stuff, the water has dried up and everything but do you think we could get mold? Please let me know! I'm scared! lol

Answers:
Yes, you can get mold. Even though all the water has dried up (or what you can see of it), water can still seep into cracks, the drywall, etc. and cause mold. You can wait until evening to wash your car, when your driveway is shaded or go to a do-it-yourself carwashing station. I know it seems silly to wash your car at night, but you would be surprised how many people do that in places like Arizona where it's sunny and hot all day long.

yes its ok
Does your garage have a drain in the floor? You will get mold down here in FL, eventually, if you keep doing this. Got any trees in the front yard? Wait for a rainstorm in the afternoons soon. Those provide plenty of shade and usually some water too!
