Name of this ant?


Question:the name of this ant that i am looking for lives in my garden. it tends to build a tiny castle made up of sand. they are attracted to bread and sugar and are have black furry abdomens. it;s mouth is very small and they do not bite. do you know kinda ant is that? i would like to do a research and catch their queen ant for my ant farm! ty

If your "ant" was being a "goody two shoes" and not letting you catch its queen, it might have been named Adam.

Are they big? if so sound to me like carpenter ants some garden plants have to have them especially peony roses.
