There is this crayon pen thing invented by the Japanese, where you colour in the scratch and let the crayon fill the gap and then wipe the surface of the table clean, and the scratch will seem almost invisible. Go to some hardware or furniture stores to ask about it.
This may sound weird, but rub a piece of walnut on the scratch (out of it's shell, of course).
buy some paste wax at the hardware store or you can try melting a crayon of the same shade.
Some say rub unsalted walnut meat over the scratch.
