How do I grow zucchini in Florida?
Question:I'm getting lots of flowers, but no zucchini. The flowers just fall off. The plants were grown from seed, and have been in the ground for about two months. Our temperatures are between 65 and 85 Fahrenheit. I had composted the ground lightly before planting. Any suggestions?

My experience with zucchini has been (and the summers in Chicago area are hot) is to throw the seeds somewhere near some soil and they will sprout and give you LOTS of zucchini. Just kidding about the planting instructiuons. Just pile up some dirt in a small hill and stick about 5 seeds in the hill. Keep hills about 2 feet apart. Water at start, but no need to keep watering unless it is really dry for long periods. Zucchini are prolific growers and you WILL get many fruits. Of course, I always put table scraps (not including meats) in the hills as fertilizer. I grow only organically, NO chemical fertilizers.
You need to make a trip to the garden center.
