How much to ask for used jacuzzi?

Question:My parents bought a home and there is a jacuzzi hot tub on the back deck. They don't want it and would like to sell it. How much is a fair price to get for it? I think it is about 4-5 foot diameter--about 4-6 people can fit in it.

A lot depends on how old it is and who manufactured it. My neighbor has a 1999 Hot Springs Spa for sale right now listed at $800 and has had it on the market for two weeks. He has only received one call since he started advertising it. Most of the spas listed in the classified section of our local paper that are newer than his (2003-2005) are between $1000-1200.
