What do you think of the apartment rating website?
Question:Could someone make up such horror stories of apartment issues like safety?

Yeah they can. On apartment rating websites you can pretty much put anything that you want, and you don't really know the real story, they could just be mad at the office because they didn't pay their rent and are being charged late fee's. I work in an apartment complex, and I see this stuff all the time. If safety is a concern, which it should be, you can contact the local police department and get a report of the apartment complex you are looking to rent and the surrounding areas. If you ask the complex if they are a safe neighborhood, they arn't really allowed to tell you "yes" because they can't guarantee your safety and they could get in a lot of trouble if something did happen. So just get a report and make your decisions with that, and an alarm for your apartment also to be extra safe. Good luck with your apartment hunting!
Yes, they probably could. I don't like the apartment rating site. A few users complained of noise in my apartment, & a rude staff. Sorry, but I have never heard any of my neighbors, outside from them being in the hallway, nor has anyone ever been rude from their staff. But they also complained about young people, which causes me to think they were older & didn't like all the 20-30 year olds running around the apartment. My friend lives in another apartment, & on there someone complained the complex towed their car even though they had their permit up. She said nothing like that has ever happened!
Ive posted my ratings on the apartments I have lived in, and most of the rating from the apartments I have lived in are dead on. (and its always the negatives that i have agreed with) i've had nothing but bad luck with apartments and the ratings always prove to me that I am not making a mountain out of an ant hill... that the issues are really going on.
