Spiders deterent?
Question:What prevents and stops spiders coming into UK home? Is there anything that can be around the perimeter of house like a borderline etc? I have a clean house as well.
Answers:
It is healthy to have a few spiders in the house as they keep all the other bugs at bay! But if you must.
You can purchase sets of 3/4 ultrasonic plug-in pest repellents for about £25. These are excellent - I was plagued by spiders and their nests in my garage and shed, now I have no problem! They work by emitting ultrasonic pulses that are not audible to humans cats or dogs, but are excrucaiting to bugs (and rats/mice I think). So completely safe if you have children or pets.
You can't stop them coming in! Get a cat as they will often eat them.
Apparently if you have spiders in your home you don't have mice. So telling you to get mice to eradicate spiders is a bit too far. Actually if you read up on the house spider it is more of a friend than foe, and if you can get hold of David Attenboroughs program about "silk spinners" you would be utterly amazed...
As you keep a clean home which gives little chance for the blighters to make webs you have done the best you can.
