Where can i get 6ft fence panels quite cheaply?
Question:I've been told that there is a national shortage in England aparently!
We only have chain link fence at the minute & even though it is a council house they wont put proper fencing up!
WE keep having people throwing things into the garden & the children keep getting out so need it doing urgently as not safe with young children!
Answers:
TRY focus or homebase or you could try getting 4or5ft panels & adding a trelis to the top!
hope this helps!
Shortage... I think I was told similar last year. Sounds like an excuse to keep prices high imo. It's not like its hardwood is it... probably comes from sustainable/renewable tree forrests.
Shop around... keep getting the price lowered. Alternatively try looking on ebay... every so often you might find a supplier doing what you want on the cheap (especially if you can find a local seller too) http://buy.ebay.co.uk/fence-panels...
At diy store
you could check your local home depot or lowes, i first i would take the measurements and go to a busines that specialize in the type of fence you want, vinyl seems to fit what you are looking for. do a search in your phone book for fence stores.
sign up for freecycle in your area sometimes have them on there and there free.
B&Q
by stealing them from a foe
Obviously B&Q or Focus DIY stores, but why not try you local reclamation yards as i know they do stock and sell fence panels. You could drop lucky and find the more solid and stronger type which are far better than the rubbish the stores sell. OH, and cheaper.
b and q or try your local freecycle and put a wanted notice up .. freecycle.org . .you will need to register on your home town site but worth a try
at the lumber yard
For inexpensive fencing, I would buy the panels from someone who does not want their fence anymore. This weekend we are putting up panels in our backyard that we got from my mother in law's house. Perhaps taking down the panels could also be a portion of the payment.
