Will flea killer spray also kill carpet beatles?
Question:My neice's ferret cage has larder beatle larvae (similar to carpet beatles) and beatles around it. As a temporary solution till I can get to the store tomorrow, will flea killer kill other types of bugs?
Answers:
The sources I've reviewed suggest that your vacuum is the best choice for tonight! Remove the food source (ferret food or bedding) and vacuum out the cage and the floor around it thoroughly. Remove and close the vacuum bag immediately, dispose of it in a lidded trash can.
Eliminating the food source should solve your problem.
Probably, but I didn't know ferrets bring beetles. Yuck! Now I will never have a ferret. And by the way, what is a carpet beetle?
I think whatever bug spray you have will help til tomorrow. But do they travel around the house? Are you sleeping there?
Good Luck!
I think any bug could die from the spray. By the way, you spelled it b-e-a-t-l-e-s. It is really spelled b-e-e-t-l-e-s.
