All insects die when they come inside my house..is that bad if...?

Question:i havent had an exterminator come and spray for over a year?

could it mean asbestos or something else is killing them.
Waterbugs, june bugs (whatever you call those lady bug looking bugs that fly at night) -- everything accept spiders seem to fall over dead.

Its starting to worry me, since I have a toddler daughter who crawls on the ground.

anyone got any ideas.
an exterminator did powder the carpet completely about a year ago.

thats alittle long isnt it?

Answers:
The sprays they use these days are made to last longer so maybe you got a good dose a year ago. Call your exterminator and just as them what they think about your question. I don't think there would be anything that would hurt your daughter except maybe what they put on the carpet. If you are really concerned for her safety, call them. They will know what was put down and how long is should last. Go ahead, make the call then you'll feel better! Hope this helps!

You may want to have some one come in and totally clean your carpeting, shampoo the rugs all over to remove any thing left over from the exterminator. Make sure that they double rinse the carpeting after shampooing it, so that it will remove any traces with in the carpeting.

Until you do this do not place your baby on the carpeting at all. Place your baby in a swing or a play pen, but not directly on the carpet until it has been professionally cleaned.

There are products out there that you can use to keep the bugs out of your house and they are safe for both humans as well as pets. They are made out of citrus, like orange peel and they are non toxic, to both humans as well as pets. Just make sure that your read labels so that you know you are getting one of these type of products.

BTW: There may have been a residue of the product that remained with in the carpet, call the company who did the work for you and ask them if steam cleaning the carpeting will totally remove the product. I'm sure that it will, since it was a powder product and it will probably help remove any residue that is remaining with in the fibers of the carpet. Your vacuum may not have been strong enough to have sucked all the residue out of the fibers so that shampooing it may just do the job. Please call the company and speak with them about it.

God bless you and your baby and stay safe.
