How do I get rid of the flies that are infesting the bushes in my front yard?

Question:We have 2 bushes in my front yard, one is right by the front door. They are swarming with flies. We have searched for dead animals and found nothing. I need to know what I can spray on them or do (other than taking them out completely) to get them gone. They are getting in the house when we come in.

Answers:
Are they flies or midges?
Try this first, mix a soap and tobacco "seep a pinch in water over night" mixture to get rid of them. mix well and spray on plants.
Then there is an old folk lore way to keep flies at bay, place cotton balls in bush, the flies think it is a spider nest.

put a penny in a bag of water, and hang it on the porch. good luck!!
