I need to dry an iron out?

Question:Ok I bought an iron but its crap, didn't find that out til I had used it once, but I put ironing water in when I used it. Ive tipped that out but there is still condensation inside from the water. I want to return it but cannot without getting the inside dry, any ideas would be geat!

Answers:
How about putting the iron on it's hottest setting and keep hitting the steam button, should soon be empty but you won't be able to take it back to the shop until next day after it has cooled down. I have an iron I inherited modern, german origin but no instructions, When I press the steam button half of the iron falls off. I gave in and bought a steam press!

Try putting it on a low setting and letting it dry out that way. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn up. Eventually the condensations has to dry up. Good luck!!
Set it on a radiator for a couple of days
