How do I get rid of tremites?

Question:I have termites eating my baseboards around my floors of my house, please help me get rid of them the best, cheatest way!
Thanks!

Answers:
only one way to do it i am afraid
get a pest controller , termites you should not try to do yourself you need expertize and the right chemicals.
Use only a pest controller who uses Premise or Termidor.
Premise being the cheaper option and I believe the better product. I have never had a job fail with Premise but 2 on Termidor.
Do not use baiting systems as it takes too long to work and the on going costs can be expensive.

you should call a pro but if you cant go to home depot. they have a couple of pesticides that will kill them and you if your not careful. you will need to drill some holes to get the poison into the nest.
There are not any preventative products on the market that a homeowner can buy that are effective. As far as things you can do,Eliminate conducive conditions,Make sure there is no wood-soil contact, trees touching the home, moisture conditions in the home or against it,rotten wood is replaced and sealed, mulch is not piled against the house, and firewood is stored away from the home. The only products that will work are done by a professional,do not take shortcuts in protecting your home.Call a Pest Control Professional and have a proper treatment performed.
