What is the best way drain water softener liquid from a PVC pipe under ground?
Question:This is hard to explain but the liquid from the water sofener is coming out of the house from a pvc pipe into the lawn, causing an abover ground drainage river. I would like to drain this water underground and grow grass over it but don't know how to connect another pipe to the pvc and bring it underground. It is an eye sore for the lawn and I would appreciate any help.
Thank you

It will probably be hard to grow grass around that water since it is very salty. If it is under the lawn the roots will get burned from the salt.
It is best to connect the water softener to your sewer. Find the sewer line that is closest to the softener. If the softener is near the washing machine just put the drain from the water softener in the washing machine drain.
If you have no other option dig a pit 4' or 5' deep and fill it with gravel. Then put the drain from the softener in there.
If you have a basement do it as far from the house as possible.
The last option is to stop using salt in the softener. You can use potassium chloride which will be easier on the grass. The potassium chloride is more expensive though it works just as good.
use same size pipe and glue it together with PVC cement. put a 90 degree elbow on the end pointing down, and another on the pipe that you run down then run a straight piece of pipe out into a ditch or whatever it is that your connecting/draining to.
